    March 2006 RotM - Intruder

Please congratulate the winner of the March 2006 RotM - Intruder. This is way overdue for him as Martin has been a vital part of the Protege community for a few years now. He's one of the most knowledgeable people we have on this forum and is an innovator and a great asset to us all. Congrats Martin!

    About the car:
This humble '97 Mica Blue Protege LX began its life early in 1997 as a rental vehicle owned by a "major rental company". It was auctioned off and purchased by a car dealer some time in 2001 and was later rescued by me. Its purpose was to replace an '01 VW Golf which suffered an untimely death. The Protege had less than 30K miles on the ODO, the body and interior were immaculate, engine looked brand new. Power windows and locks came standard, as did the automatic transmission (unfortunately). It even had an aftermarket Alpine CD deck (it's what sold the car). The little Protege has come a long way since that faithful autumn day in 2001. It endured an engine and transmission swap which kept it in a garage for almost a year. Now it's running stronger than ever and I am excited about the projects and enhancements that are in store for it. Long live the BH!

    About the owner:
My name is Martin. I was born in 1982 in the capital city of Bulgaria, Sofia. I've lived in Singapore, New Jersey / Pennsylvania, and most recently in sunny California (guess where I like it most). I'm a student working on a BSEET (Bachelor's of Electronics Engineering Technology) degree. I have a passion for music, electronics, photography... I love guitars. I have fish. Fish are cool, mmkay? I spend endless hours surfing wihandyman.com and working on car related projects. You can say I'm a BH addict.

I'd like to thank the people who nominated me and voted for me on multiple occasions. I'd like to thank the Protege community. You are what has kept me and still keeps me motivated to work on the Protege. Your support is what keeps the flame burning. Thank you all for being part of this experience!
