Hello, I am new to this board, but I have been working on my car for years. I have a 95 escort gt with a 5 spd.
I did the gtx motor swap on my car 5 years ago. I ran the stock wiring and ecu the whole time.
I recently purchased a gtx wiring harness and ecu from Neuspeedscort. He had this setup in his escort. I am almost done installing everything but I I have a few issues that I was hoping you guys may be able to help me with.
I have the engine side all figured out and plugged in. It is under the dash that i am stuck on. There are 2 harnesses under the dash between the ecu and firewall, 1 is black and 1 is white.
the black one has the same 20 pin plug on the gtx harness and my car. there is 11 wires on the escort plug and 7 on the gtx plug. The gtx plug is 4 wires short. I need to know what to do with the extra wires from my car.
the white one has a 12 pin setup on my car and a 10 pin setup on the gtx harness. there are 11 wires on the escort plug and 7 on the gtx plug.
Does anyone have any info on this? Does any one have the scematics for these plugs?
ps I have pin #'s and wire colors writen down if it will help. I also have pics, that I can e-mail to anyone willing to help.
