ZX2 lower control arms same as EGT?

Buying some LCA bushings for my 91 EGT and wanted to double check if the ZX2 has the same LCAs dimension wise so that I can buy bushings from the ZX2.

Also are the front swaybar bushings and endlinks the same as the EGT? I know the swaybar itself on the ZX2 is thicker, but what about the endlinks?

the whole zx2 hyperflex kit will work except for the rear sway bar. I have installed 3 zx2 kits on 2nd gens so far. Do you have access to a press to press the old ones out and new in?

i used a gear puller on mine, and you can get the new ones in easy, the sway bar is bigger up front on a zx2, but the rear is bigger on a egt. we did the swap takes us around 1-2 hours for 2 of us!

Great info, thanks. The hperflex kit is a little steep at $100 on ebay though. I was just thinking of getting the LCAs since I already have poly endlinks on the rear swaybar.

How much of an improvement does the whole kit create?

yea the only thing i didnt use from my zx2 es hyper flex kit was the sway bar bushings. my suspension feels very tight now.it was a good investment. i do warn you though, if you live in a rough road hell hole like me,i had to relearn the road and the danger spots.

is it that much harsher with the poly bushings? I plan on keeping the 15 inch wheels for the extra rubber comfort

Well, i have super stiff springs, but i could still feel a difference in road feel after doing all the poly bushings. I would say it would still add enough of a difference to notice it on a street set up.

Too me it was really worth doing the full swap. A hyperflex kit for $100 is very cheap. If you were to compare to other kit prices. Most are usually closer to $175 or better. If you do the full kit and get the motor mount inserts as well. It is very nice.

well with 15s its not going to be as harsh as mine because i run 16s. but it will be stiff.what size tires are you running?

I am running 215/40/17's on mine with R1 coilovers and zx2 sr struts, plus manual steering rack. Every possible ES bushing for the zx2, plus the 21mm rsb and bushings. The suspension is a little harsh. Yet it will take just about any turn you will throw at it.
