    Ford Focus RS8

Thats right. RS8, where 8 stands for the ammount of cylinders. Its a CAMMER 5.0 V-8 in a rear wheel drive Focus with 420bhp and 370 lb-ft of torque. Sick!

    Here are full specs:
    FORD RACING FOCUS RS8 SPECIFICATIONS

    Under the hood
    • Ford Racing 5.0L "Cammer" crate engine
    • Ford Racing 4V modular V-8 wiring harness
    Estimated performance
    • 420 horsepower @ 6700 rpm
    • 370 lb-ft torque @ 5000 rpm
    Powertrain
    • Tremec five-speed HD transmission
    • Ford Racing clutch kit
    • Ford Racing prototype shifter
    • Ford Racing 8.8" differential, 3.73:1 ratio
    • Ford Racing prototype metal substrate catalysts
    • Ford Racing dual-mode mufflers
    Exterior
    • Focus RS (European model) body styling
    • SVT Focus Blue Pearl Coat paint
    Interior
    • Focus RS seating
    • Ford Racing A-Pillar gauge pod
    • Ford Racing gauges
    • Harmon/Becker Traffic-Pro
    • Infinity amps and speakers
    • Sirius Satellite Radio
    Chassis
    • Kugel Komponents inspired Ford Racing prototype front suspension
    • Ford Racing prototype rear suspension
    • Multimatic adjustable dampers with adjustable ride height
    • RS 18 x 8-inch wheels
    • Michelin Pilot Sport 225/40 ZR18 Front; 255/45 ZR18 Rear
This engine with all the harnesses would go for sale next year for about $15K. But then you need the tranny, and modify all of the suspension. So thats what... the price of another Focus?

Ha ha, I just posted about this in your other thread, didn't see this one. :D
Thats an awsome car, I never really liked the focuses before. Not a huge fan of the wagon look.

But it'll still be ugly as sin .

I have my doubts about the longevity of a car like that anyway. I don't think the production Focus was EVER designed to handle those kinds of power numbers, and certainly not in RWD.

Unless they reinforced the HELL out of the body structure, I'd expect the car to flex like crazy and eventually torque-twist itself into a virtual pretzel . Maybe a year of stomping on the gas, and all of a sudden the doors don't close right anymore, the weatherseals leak, etc.......

The car not for sale, its only a promo. The engine is for sale. Thats why Ford put into three or four different cars at the show, to show how versatile it can be. As for body rigidity, HIHOSLAVA is probably right. They only rebuild the suspension front and rear.

But if you are interested in getting one of these, this has been done before, and if I remember right, the price tag was about $70K.

Ha theres no way Id pay 70,000 for some 420hp focus hell Id just take out the engine and put it in something else Im surprised that this egg car dosen't do a wheelie with all that torque.

                      this is from autoweek.

The RS8 concept uses the European Focus RS as a donor, but when the kit comes out early next year it'll fit right in your U.S.-spec Focus. The kit is expected to cost about $5,000, but the Cammer V8 will sticker at $14,995. Then you have to put it in. So it ain't cheap. But won't it be fun to thrill the gang at the next club drifting event?
