My Lx-E *56K* if your brave

theres a good story behind it... i spent $300 for her.....

found in the news paper....(ford escort, $500 obo) called... found out that the engine was locked up... he said it was an lx... had a 1.9L from my tracer ready for it

i drove out to see it...... she wasnt pritty..... black spray paint on white car..... colum all torn apart (someone tried to steal it after the engine was locked up)

and the most supprising part was of course the Gt engine..... i offered $300 and towed it home.......

i had to look it up to see wat i bought.... i found out that my 1.9L wont fit it
so i tore apart the 1.8L it was fixable, new rods, new crank, re-ring kit, nd i rebuilt the bottom end

.....the top end showed a little ware, but i decided to clean it up and run it as is

i spent about $500-$600 to get it on the road

i peiced together the colum using peices from three cars including the ignition fom my old car, changed all the lock to match the key

elbow grease and dawn got all the spray paint off (thank god the people waxed the car)

im now a few years down the road with her, she is about 195,000miles old....... im now replacing the head ($370 shipped) and the transmission (my bro killed the sycros in the 4-5 months he was driving it. she almost on the road agan..... i cant wait

Cooking a little sumtin' up in my garage..... The Escort will live agian.....

I love to see escort revived and brought back to life. Do you have any future plans for her.
