    Sub questions

Alright, so I have my subs all hooked up again and now there is a real low frequency static noise coming from them when my deck is on. My one friend called it 'road noise' once, and said you get it from your power cable and your signal cable running to the trunk beside each other.

So I pulled the **** apart and moved the signal cable to the passenger side of the car and the noise is still there.

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm stumped right now.

At least I can't hear it when the music is on, but is still pissing me off.

Is your power wire large enough to handle the subs and amp? Is the amp turned up too high and sending a signal no matter what to the subs?

That's all I can think of.

it could be a number of things. poor ground, poor low voltage output from the HU, poor RCA cables, etc. make some muting plugs and find out if it's the amp or the HU:

I'm thinking it could be the signal turned up to high.

that's a possibility as well. properly settings the gain is pretty important.
