    Steering: Slight Sqeauk...

    Well ... recently, "Jamilah" has developed a small squeak noise as I turn... It sounds like its at the base of the steering wheel where the wheel connects to the steering column...

    I feel like a idget cause I dont know what the hell it is exactly, but I'll be damned if I take it to the mechanic. I just wanted to know if it was a typical problem with protege's or maybe I need steering fluid? I wonder what it could be?

    hey can you give us any more info on the squeak? is it constant. only when you turn one direction.
    When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

      its when I turn both ways... I mean its not constant either... I guess I was kind of broad.. my apologies... Its honestly just annoying to me...

      But yes.. both ways ... and it sounds like something rubbing together... I really dont know how to elaborate any more... Im not sure if its the cold or what... because I'm thinkin that might have something to do with it... Peace...

        well if oyu are a cold environment your car will start to do funny things. i wouldn't worry until you start having issues/ difficulties turnign the wheel. it could just be your car reacting to the cold. this is the first winter you have owned that car?

            speaking of winter ... i also have an issure that I posted about mounting my wheels tbefore this winter... sigh... well see....
