gear ration, strenght of the casing, spider gear, axles
but the bolt pattern for the block is identical

You can swap a LX (or an Escort GT) manual trans to a SOHC motor, but you will need the following:
            LX axels and hubs.
most likely the brake rotors and calipers depending on what your brake setup is, if you are at stock brakes you may need to switch over to the LX brakes, I dont know if you can put a 13 22V caliper on a 14 hub you would have to try it. half shaft and mounting bracket from the LX
LX flywheel, and LX clutch kit

hey man dont the swap my self. You dont Not need to swap, the hub, the rotors or the brakes. the DX one work fine...

you will need to find a half shaft w/mount, axles, clutch, flywheel,a dn of course the tranny. Dont forget that the driverside tranny mount is differet, but the other mounts will work. if you want pull another set and eurthane them.

LOOK if you dont know what you are talking about STFU. if you had done this swap you would not have mentioned brakes, rotors, or hub. that half of the alxe is the same between the 2.

IF you were doing a big brake conversion to lx, you would need the 14 22v calipers.
