You'll find that it has been done hundreds and hundres of times in South Africa.....there is even a RWD FE3 Turbo BF "pickup" and FWD.

Here is some of the nutz BF utes/bakkies/pickups with FE3 engines in BF engine bay.
Black Old School ute runs 8s down the 1/4. The black/carbon fibre Bf is the new RWD one.
The maroon one is FWD 6 speed and runs over 450HP at the wheels on 11sec 1/4.
and there are heaps more.
I've been wanting to fit my current BPT engine to one of those pickups.
