FS: 1gen Front low tie bar

Cant be used because of my transmission, has never been used or been outside for that matter. I can also include the rear if you need it, it is on my car atm but is still in ment condition.

i think that is your oilpan in the way not the transmition. and yeah the bar is a nice add to a suspension.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

    So his engine he goosed
    With much too much boost,
And drove a rod through his block.

Made by OffTheLine Motorsports, the same man bringing you strut bars.

        Heres how they look..

I payed atleast (my memory sucks) 150 for them, but since i cant really use the set im pretty flexable on pricing.

150 for both bars is a good price. they woek for both bars. can you not use the front bar because it is difficuly to install?

installation involves 2 jacks. one to lift the car, on to lift the engine(but dont stress the motor mounts foor too long!).

Oh aqnd the bars do fit on the rear bolts but they will endure different forces which they were not intended on seeing. believe me i know.

if i didn't own a set i would be all over this like a fat kid on a smarty.

nah me and dave are thinking im running a escort tranny, and its in the way of the drivers side bolt that i would have to secure it to. I can lift it and get the bar on, but as soon as i lower the tranny back, it sits on top of the bar

it shouldn't!!! the escort has a G tranny same as found in the USDM protege LX, which was the car the bar was prototyped on.

You have an SOHC so therfore your car came stock with an "F" series tranny.

the tie bar should fit any 1st gen protege.

Wasn't it determined that it was an Escort 1.9L tranny.
