Has anyone seen the figures for how many of the 4wd proteges were brought to North America or the US? I'm curious.

Word, thanks. I was figuring around 2,000 somewhere. I just wanted to know if there was a solid figure for it like us bf GTX guys have on our cars. 4wd prot is next on my list of projects to do.

my experiance looking for both of my gtx's has helped me in finding oddball cars so hopefully it won't be too rough.

trust me, syracuse is worse than both.
while yes, living by the ocean is pretty bad....the amount of salt that is put down [every day] in central new york is disgusting. it snows all winter there, and you seriously can't wash your car off because the next time you drive it will be just as dirty.

i'm not saying RI is bad because of the ocean... i live on the border with RI, nowhere near the ocean. its bad because of the disgusting amounts of salt they use . i used to drive to school in rhode island... the main roads would be white with snow still in CT... cross the border into RI and BAM, bare wet pavement.

lucky me and my northwest cars... no rust cuz we use chemicals that don't harm your finish or sand/gravel instead of salt.. get traction on top of the snow instead of melt it and ruin your car.

yeah it makes me pretty excited.. even if the car already has some rust on it... it doesn't seem to spread that fast here.

damn... I'm not sure I'll be able to drive my AWD pro through this winter now. I had no idea they were that rare. Mine has zero rot, and just a few small spots of surface rust on control arms and springs and anywhere a car with 110k miles on it would have. 30 minutes with a dremel or some scotch-brite and a can of spray paint and I'd have the complete undercarriage looking factory fresh. I might just keep it that way
