Coil springs questions

Does someone know if firstgen coil springs fits on a 2eime gen protege ?

I have a set of 1.6 drop Apex coil springs here , and i want to know if its possible to install them on my 1996 protege

only one wayy to find outttt. haha. I'd try it. whats the worste that could happen. Doesn't fit and you just put the stock back on.

they probably don't fit. i don't know for sure. but the worst is that the spring perches could be different.

do the protege community a service by taking pics and confirming for the rest of us.

Im asking this question , cuz i know that a lot of people are using 1997 escort struts on 90-94 protege with modified top plates with 90-94 coil springs.

And when im looking to the 95-98 struts they look very similar to 90-94. Im almost sure that the coils spring will fit on the struts ,,, but i dont know what its gonna look like.

I'll try it ,, and give you guys my experiance

thats because the 97+ escorts use the same chassis as the 90-94 protege. this also includes the zx2, which was made until 2003 . 91-2003 escort springs and struts all fit the 1st gen pro.

1st gen struts dont fit on 2nd gens.
