I envy your course. As you noticed, the track I attend has weeds growing between the cracks, and the pavement is bad for tires.

            excellent pics btw...

As do I. Their courses is like the ATL Track...(minus the light poles) but very hard to see on where you're going... Only thing I like about Broson is the fact it's alot easier to tell where you are going.

              Nice pictures btw.

Thanks folks, pics credit goes to local racer/photog Albert Pernia.

As for the cones being down...Well that depends on the region and the course designer. But in most cases, the cones that are down, are pointer cones, indicating either a direction to take or instead of a wall, we lay a few cones on their sides (to save some for the course)

typically you'll see one down and one up, the one dawn points to the side you must go around it, go the other way and you DNF (did not finish)

in the "booty shoot" pic above you see 2 cones down, one infact i did hit and knock down, but the other is the pointer cone and it's not counted, even if i hit it AND the up cone.

When you hit a cone, it counts as +2 secs to your time...devistating in STS here in Socal, beleive me!!!

Cool. I wonder if South FLorida has that. Is it just me or does look like a single blade winshield wiper?

Yeah, pole's would be a slight problem if someone were to spin out or lose control.

                      But anyway...I'm moving to California!

Yes. South Florida has SCCA down there. Where abouts in FL are you?

Clint - Try ATL. The poles aren't too bad, but last year (summer) when I was there..it was .. not good lol. I didn't run into anything, but without having a co-driver with me you A. got lost and B. might've hit a pole. It was nuts, but fun in the process.

You remember Jon Fitz? Yeah. Try and imagine running into some cement. lol Ok, and why California?

BTW - Is that fog or has it been raining there?

ATL is Atlanta right? Hmm we should try that sometime.

California is where the track is at, I think.

Oh. I need to read where they're from

Yeah. Atlanta, Ga. They're track is at turner field. They have over 300 people going. Morning runs are Stock classes / Novice class. Afternoon is the modify class.

                              It's quiet interesting
