    flywheel question??

i just looked at my new 93 proto and its all mint except the clutch, she'll need a new one pretty soon. im going to get a stage 2 clutch and im wondering if its worth the time and money to resurface the flywheel? will it give me and performace advantages? or am i wasteing my time.

no need for stage 2 unless you're pushing some serious horsepower.. from what i understand, ACT offers a street clutch disc... that it'd be more than adequate.

for metalic clutch (agressive) u have to look for an aftermarket flywheel..if not..u can damage the stock flywheel.

I found out how to beat a Honda! Just about anyway you can think of. Even in reverse. <- my buddy Mike: Haha, your Civic is a pile of vtech crap! Zoom-Zoom!

resurfacing a flywheel just makes since. your current flywheel will be rutted and uneven, compromising the lifeline of the new clutch. The flywheel will wear becuase it deals with a load. i know mine was. it is good maintinence to resurface and clean a part like that. if your rotors were warped or rutted i'd hope you would replace those too.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

thats what i figured, whats the good of putting a nice clutch on an old and warped flywheel? how much do you think a resurface job will run?

by the time you pay for the shipping, you could have had a shop do it for you cheaper, and faster.. just my opinion

i was thinking of a new lightweight flywheel but ive been told its bad for the tranny, especially the DX... im only pushing a SOHC so is a new flywheel really nessecary or will the resurface job serifce?
