2nd and 3rd gen seats interchange ability

I was curious one day. I am wondering if the 3rd gens and the 2nd gens can interchange seats. I am referring to the 2 front seats. I know that the 1st gen's may be slightly off. But noone has ever tried to fit a 3rd gen seat into there cars.

Anyone have any thoughts on this

bruce dude.. you are curious many days but that is where you get your great ideas.... it never occured to me to try and use 3rd gen seats... i know the mx3 seats even where pretty close just two of the 4 holes were off.. maybe the 3rd gen pros would work.. there is only one way to find out.. maybe you can find soemone in your area with a 3rd gen with an extra half hour

I remember reading a Car and Driver review of the new Protege back in 99'. They said something about redesigning the seat track rails to the sides of the 'hump' to increase rear footroom. I don't know of the BH's are like this or not.

Does anyone know if 3rd gen seats definetly don't/do fit into a 2nd gen pro?

I'm searching but I'm getting nada.
