Escort Mexico Alarm Please Help

hi guys,
Slight techincal problem...
I have an N reg escort Mexico, with factory fitted alarm, i couldn't get in the car as the keys won't unlock the doors....(but will start the engine ) the window was open about half in so i got a coat hanger and popped the lock undone... i opened the car door and the alarm went off obvoiusly thinking i was an intruder.... Thing is now every time i open a door the alarm goes off....(which is a horn in the boot) The boot will not unlock with the keys either... But the alarm stays on for 30 seconds. so when i get in an out it goes off... is there any way of stopping this with out taking it to the ford dealers (daylight robbery imo)

Any help will be grately appreiciated...........

the escorts we have here in the states are 95% mazda... not at all like the cars you have in the UK unfortunately. for electrical problems like that i would seek the help of someone local who has experience, or try to get a wiring diagram and diagnose the problem yourself. good luck!
