I'm getting ready to build a 90-94 323 for RallyCross myself. I'll be happy to update you on anything I figure out along the way. Try the guys at Mazda Motorsports, ie Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development, or whatever they are calling themselves these days. They're normally pretty knowledgeable about what works.
'99 ES MP3 suspension & exhaust, FS-ZE cams, Injen CAI, and a few more mods I won't admit at tech.-Gone to a good home.

What class are you planning on running? It should make a good production or gp2 car. Gp5, no, prodGT, no, but you can surprise a lotta folks in those first 2 classes, these cars are underrated, and surprisingly strong. No one could believe it when we put the engine back in the rallycar and it dropped right in, bolted right up, no prybars needed. Rallycars just don't stay that straight!
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.
