    bp into a 2nd gen

    i need to know if anyone has actually done a 1st gen bp into a 2nd gen im havin a problem tryin to wire up my 91 1.8 into my 97 1.5 i have a 91bp harness and ecu.

    come guys someone has to have completed it. plsssssss help or point me to someone who has done it

    umm from what i've been told this will be a huge pita. i might be told wrong, but that's why i basically abandoned my 2nd gen project and bought a 323

    i've been told that 1st gen bp will not work and u have to find one specifically for ur year.

      you need to change your ignition from a 2nd gen to a 1st gen ignition.


      why you're going this route?...i don't know.

      read up...


      thats the best know source of info known, nothing else out there.

      Fidanzda 8lb flywheel, ACT HD00, UR Crank Pulley, UR Adj. Cam-Gears, Exh-Intake CamShaft Swap, MS Engine Mounts, Custom CAI, PaceSetter Header, 2.25" in/out-let Magnaflow Cat, 2.25" Mandrel-Bent Exhaust.

        I did it in my car, real pain in the ass but well worth it, if your not dropping in a gtx/r don't bother, besides didn't you guys get BP second gen's in the states?

              how did you guys tackle the wiring did u have to repin the interior??
              i have a 91bp harness in the 97 now and im goin to put the motor in this weekend using a 91bp ecu....so i will have to repin the interior harness. any easier way to do this??

                get a second gen bp. youre trying to put an obd1 engine in an obd2 car.

                      yeah im droppin the motor in this weekend so i can finish runnin the wires and the intercooler pipes...ill take some pics so u guys can see.

                          cpl of pics of the motor goin in car...i just need to get a top and rear tranny mounts from a 1st gen dohc or fab some up




                          lots of cuttin on the inside of the front bumper but fits good now
