do not use it, it will not be good for your car. your cel will be on all the time. just get the one for the 1.6, i have had it for a while and still have no probs....2000 DX, Blue

it won't work. the MAF and temp sensor is a bitch on the 1.6L, and it will only work properly in the injen or stock tube i've tried making 6 other intakes, and none worked. your other option is to cut the tube off the stock air box and make your own out of PVC. it looks pretty ghetto, but i made a ram air one that worked pretty good. course i've got an injen now, and don't plan on going back to anything else

Yeah, you'd have to make a custom mounting point for the 1.6's oddball MAF sensor that's completely different from the 1.8 and 2.0's.Clint/1999 "Sport20"

corksport sells the injen i believe for about $200
pretty expensive, but at least you know it will work
i am planning to get that during christmas break

isn't it true when you put an intake, it decreases your
low end torque, but increases the high rpm torque.
any feedback on that

Hey guys i agree trying to swap from one car to another isn't always the best idea.
Our shop make cai intakes for the 1.5,1.6 and 1.8L (180.00 us funds + shipping)
We also have CAI for the P5 and mazda speed.
