    water lines/pipes bpze

    hi,
i have a bpze engine and need a pic of all the coolant lines and connections of this engine,
any one of you guys can help me out??

theres a threaded hole in the front of the block where the coolant feed comes from.

the metal pipe that returns coolant from your heater core to your water pump (goes across the front of the block below the exhaust manifold) is where the coolant returns into.

....look directly across from waterpump in this pic. you'll see the gtr water outlet piece & the open hole for the oil feed.

the pipe running across the block connects to a hose that connects to your heater core. theres a small hose on it leading to the throttle body, and in the case of a GTX theres a small hose near the front corner of the block leading to the turbo.

t-stat housing connects to your upper rad hose. theres another pipe next to that on the head which connects to your oil cooler, which then leads to the other side of the heater core.

you cant get it from a parts store... i'd try the junkyard first, then the dealer. if the dealer can get it, it will probably be expensive. why do you need a new one anyway?

Sorry, First I have to tell you that it's a 1990 mazda protege 1.8 SOHC and this is the set up I made to keep it running LOL. The under side of the Tee connection grew a hole, from rust i think, big enough to fit my pinky in it and I needed a quick fix so I cut out the tee and made one. It's been running fine for a few months now but it's not holding too well now, it's my girlfriends car and she just bought a new car... thats why I just had to keep it running until then. but I figure if I fix it I can use it as a commuting car, and I want to fix it the right way now that I have time.

eeek. yeah, have a look at the junkyard. it will have to come from a SOHC, because the DOHC one is missing a connection that you'll need.

the JB Weld doesn't hold very well to rubber over time... So that pipe is the only car specific part I need? meaning that everything else I need to replace it would be generic rubber hose and clamps?

should be, as far as i can tell. at the end of that metal pipe there is an O-ring where it fits into the water pump inlet... you'll need a new one of those.

think it would be something like a water pump inlet gasket?
