    Ford Question

Inspired by the recent dohc find, I am now in the process of tracking down a dohc engine and have seen a couple of decent candidates...but if i were to take it from an escort is it true that the GT models have CF hoods? If so it would be a sweet deal to get a CF and a new engine all in one day... thanx for any information...

wtf no escort gt's do NOT have factory carbon fiber hoods. u can buy a cf hood for an egt, but they dont come with them.

I bet if you got scort fenders, it would line up better.... Or, that could be opening a whole pandora's box of headlights, bumper, and so on...

well, remember, this assumption purely stemmed from wil eyeballing his friend's escort and reporting to us that the lines were to high, so they weren't actually 'test fitted'.. however, i would still highly doubt the feasibility. we'll have to take a look into this bro when you get your ass up here .

the lines dont match up. there is no crease. you will need to do a whole wack of light conversions. and the wheelwell of the EGt is larger than the protege.
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

                        So his engine he goosed
                        With much too much boost,
And drove a rod through his block.

well there would be cheaper clear corners. and the EGT CF hood would line up. but you would loose the crease along the side of the car.

well, with body work you could remake the crease, and keep the lines and have clear corners...
