    best way to find out is go to autozone.com or advancedauto.com and compare part #'s..

      according to the wonderful world of the interwebs, they are the same pump, 90-94. the only difference is years (assuming they're right of course). I have no 1st had knowledge, but hey, the interwebs was right last time!
      so in short, yes, the pumps are the same. heck even the 4wd primary pump is the same as the lx/dx or 323 pump.
      No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

        where are you from? 1.6 and 1.8 escort makes me think you could be from england/europe..... in which case they are a totally different car from our mazda based escorts.
