The Beginings of a BulletProof Motor

Shades thread inspired me to do the same for my 1.8 BP. It came out of my $250 beat 94 EGT that I found at the Craft Center in Hanau (I am stationed in Germany). The block is at the machine shop and I need to bring the pistons to him so he can bore the block. I wont have the motor done until spring 2008. I am looking at $7000 in parts. I have an excel sheet that I will post when its done.

Block is almost done, cylinders are overboard for Weisco pistons, pro gram billet main caps have been line bored, and my chinese EDT rods have been machined to right specs. Everything has been balanced.

God dam I completely forgot about you and my stuff there, hell I cant even remember what it is, plastic I think. I didnt post this on ERDT or FEOA because I dont think many people would care that much. I feel that this place is more performance orientated than the other sites plus I just started. When I get furthur along I might post it.

Cylinder walls were still perfect and I needed the max amount of beef between the cylinders for 400+ hp.

Motor is kind of on the hot plate now, looking at a new BMW 335i. I am keeping the escort though, need to park her to do the next set of upgrades.

i think your highly mislead with the "meat thickness factor" 1.5mm overbore is max with factory headgasket. It is the safe limit. ask flyin miata. thats what the 2.0 stroker kits run with 400-600

Did you get those pistons from flyingmiata?. They are the only ones that I know that have the coated wiesco pistons. Im about to buy a set of wiesco's and I dont want to bore my block also cause it has less than 25k on a bp05 block. I just bought brand new GTR rods and need some pistons to build the bottom end.
