92 BP swap into My Car

Well I found a nice single cam setup out of a 92 Protege. I just need the wiring diagrams so I can get started wiring it up. I have done harness splicing before, and I have the pinouts for my Aspire, I just need the one for the Protege. It would be great if someone could post pics or give me a link to a site that has them (prefferably for free )

I have the factory fsm on files. If you have aol instant messanger I can transfer my file to you. Let me know. It's kind of a race to catch me on the computer aim. It's usually on my phone. Hit me up if you have aim and we'll figure something out.

does anyone know if the b8-ME harness for the 92 Protege is similar to the Bp harness? Similar enough for me to use a wiring diagram from one of the BP harnesses to figure out how to wire my swap up?

Well I got it all in my car and it fired up and ran, then I decided to tuck up and wrap my wires I spliced and it didn't run again. I tried checking my wires and everything but it didn't do the trick. I tried to check for spark and when I cranked it I got zapped through the insulated screwdriver and the car started. I shut her off and then tried again and no dice, I even tried doing the same spark plug thing to see if it would start again and it didn't. Anyone know what's going on with it? My car ran an ignition control module instead of a coil and igniter, I was thinking of switching back to that setup and running the stock computer till I can figure out what to do about the wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like you acted as a ground for the motor ... that give you any ideas?

I was thinking that but I grounded everything and no luck, maybe I will try it again after I relocate my battery to the trunk ( no room for it under the hood because the VAF sits where my battery sat)

I didn't have the feed from the main relay hooked up, the aspire ran a different relay setup, it didn't have a circuit opening relay like the protege had. I basically took the protege harness and unwrapped it completely and deleted the small plug for the ECM and spliced in the wires I needed to the aspire plug and used my charging and starting setups since I already switched to an F-series style starter instead of the festiva/aspire setup that bolts up to the backside of the top of the bell housing. Oh and I had to run a jumper for my fuel pump to the main relay feed so that it would run, apparently the aspire ECM had a fuel relay feed circuit running through it and the Protege didn't. No worries though, it runs great now! I will post some pics when I get a chance to get on some high speed, friday hopefully
