    Not an EGT... yet

Hello everyone, I have kinda been a lurker on this site for years. I joined when I used to have a 1991 Protege DX but it was extremely rusty and moldy from sitting too long before I got my license. I tried stripping it to build as a track car but I think the front frame was structurally damaged from the rust. Since then I sold it to a junker and I bought a BG clone: a CT-20 (I think?). I want another real BG badly but I never find any good deals locally and I can't really afford 2 cars at the moment.

Anyways onto my current car: it is a 1996 2 door LX sport package. My CarDomain Profile

Mostly I have modded it to be more comfortable as a daily driver. Ultimate plans are to do a GT conversion upgrading everything as I go and end up with a custom ground up rebuilt BPT engine.

Here is the car right before it was signed over at the former owners house (bad cell phone pics):

Shortly after I got it before it was tagged:

Engine shot (stock Ford SEFI and its probably staying stock until it is replaced with a BP):

    My Headunit:

    My Subs:

I recently relocated the amp and cleaned the wiring:

During the winter I installed some foglights. Since then one decided to crack and fall apart and the other got smashed so I pulled them off:

    I have installed power windows:

More recently I upgraded to GT rear seats:

Compared to the LX stock seatback:

I also have a Tenzo R drivers seat:

And a shot of whats to come soon:
    1991 Mazda Protege DX | 1.8l Mazda B8 | Rotted out & junked
1996 Ford Escort LX | 1.9l Ford SEFI | Blown engine & sold
2000 Ford Escort ZX2 S/R | 2.0l Ford Zetec | Former project, sold due to lack of time
    1998 Subaru Legacy Outback | 2.5l Subaru EJ25 | Current daily driver

    Looking for a new project...

Well, you've got a plan and that's where it starts, I just hope you stick with it, so many people make a plan and lose interest. Keep it up man, the car is clean and more than ready for a BPT! I think the Tenzo seat is a little premature, but that's just me.

                Lookin good!

woa! are the power windows from a 4 door? how did you do that? seriously i have huge speakers in my doors so either A) i can't roll down the window all the way, or B) i make the speakers stick out into the cabin, but the window crank hits them. I chose A, but if I had power windows B would be no problem.

looks really clean, i really like the putnam park pic.

Both actually. I'm also on the new ERDT.

Yeah it probably is. I got a good deal on it though, the oportunity came up so I grabbed it (same guy I got the rear seats from, also got some EGT fanblades from him too).

                        Yeah, right next to Danbury.

Yeah the power windows came from a 4 door. I am actually getting a OEM 2 door switch soon. I am working on a How-To for the power windows and locks swap from a 4 door to a 2 door. I will post it up here. And I love that pic too, which is why I posted. I took a whole photoshoot at the park, the pictures are on my CarDomain. Thats actually where I am planning to hold the meet.
