I take it performance is your priority so we will skip the asthetics stuff.

Handleing: well the probably simpelest things include: sway and strut bars for your front and rear, towers etc. You will feel a large difference in handeling with those. Also if you want to keep moving along new alloy rims performance tires springs and struts etc. I don't know much about brands and exact prices but I'm sure somone here can help you out if you ask exact questions.

As far as engine work goes : look into a CAI (cold air intake) short ram intake or even a K&N air filter. there is alot you can do under the hood and I'm sure if you came up with more specific questions they could be more specifically answered.

BTW, Iceman... i don't think DX and SE are EXACTLY the same... as from what I've seen, the DX comes standard with A/C...
the SE doesn't come standard with anything other than a CD player.

Unless you have a lil over 3k to spare for a turbo, I'd go with a CAI.

                    Injen CAI
                    Custom exhaust
                    Tein lowering springs(finally installed)

You won't be able to tell any difference with the CAI. The only thing I noticed was different was the sound.

No difference? I got the Injen a few months back, an although not a HUGE jump, It was a noticeable diference in pep.

I think alot of it is mental. You want to be able to tell the difference so you imagine things that aren't there. I can't tell the difference in 3hp, maybe you can so I'm glad one of us likes the performance aspect of it. The only time I have ever thought it was a bit quicker was at higher rpm's. I never felt any increase off the line. But it does sound very very good.

I only had the car a matter of months before I got the CAI. Shifting though the gears got quicker. The proof to me was the Tach, Not just the butt dyno.

The butt dyno is all I can rely on these days. I have been cursed with the DX, which means no tach for me.
