    third motor !?!?

ok guys i havnt been here for hella looooong, and my escort havnt given me any problems for the past year and month until now... i just need acouple of opinons from you guys before i rip things apart..
ok i have a 91 for escort GT with 2.5 inch turbo back without a cat that smokes alittle at the tailpipe.. kinda spit alittle water out too, but i was thinking its probably some moisture that got in there... but when i ran the car really light ..like baby it for lets say an hour and let it idle i still see white smoke comming out of the tail pipe.... but when i smash on it for like an hour too.. it clears up.. no smoke at all.. also when i checked my coolant resevoir and radiator no signs of oil. coolant is still full never ever had to fill it up.... but i have alittle sign or mixture at my oil cap. and my catch can... would this sound like a blown head gasket or a crack head?.. i tried to smell the exhaust alittle today to see if i can catch anythin that smell kinda sweet ... but having a catless car makes it hard...

also where are the best place i can grab some head bolts and i guess the oem headgasket are best to get as i notice the other old motor i had was copper..

edit the place i live is always foggy and cold.

White smoke usualy means a bad headgasket. As far as headbolts, are you looking for just replacements or upgraded ones? I say while your swapping gaskets grab a set of apr head studs(I'm doing the same with my build). They run around 120 shipped. Always check your straightness of the block and head before putting it back together. Just a little off and its screwed. Good luck.

hmm odd.. ok i tried to open up the radiator cap and see if i can see some pressure come out of it .. like bubbles or overflows.. but nothing.. checked the spark plug everything seems normal... tried to smell if something sweet like coolant smell on the combustion chamber nothing..... so what can cause this?

If you are turbo charged, I would look at the turbo as the culprit as well. When they go they will start puffing out white smoke from oil burning in your exhaust. If you are not losing coolant and not mixing as well I would think turbo. You could also be losing valve seal or guides,
                My 2 cents
                good luck,

I dont know about those ebay gaskets. Used them I my first BPT and had leaks everywhere. Felpro FTW.

Sounds like you have a gasket leak

Indeed. I got a $40 upper gasket set for my b6 (ex beater) and to begin with the dowel pin hole on the headgasket was too small (no biggy but still wtf lol) and then the gasket started leaking oil again at the corner about 2 years later sooooo

hes talking about the headgasket, it started leaking oil after only two years, and he did it correctly.

you do realize that you should technically, resurface the block & head to make sure both surfaces are 100% true. & besides that. the reason the headgasket is black "It's finely sprayed rubber coating"
