    Tranny seal

I totally forgot to replace the tranny seals on the car and it's pissing oil. Will the regular seals for the G-series or F-series tranny fit the 4wd tranny?

Also I filled the tranny with 80W90 Castrol gear oil. Is that ok? The manual says to put 75W90 or ATF. Should I put ATF instead and keep the 80W90 for the transfer case only?

Which tranny seals, the axle shaft seals in the input shaft or what?
I use a 1:3 mix of redline heavy shockproof and redline MTL in my cars.
'90 AWD Protege, full GTR drivetrain swap, ~320 whp daily driver, RIP, and
'90 AWD Protege, yet another GTR swap, Open class rallycar with a Toyota GT4 gearbox swap, thus crossing the line between hobby and mental illness. And a Brabus E55 K8, removing all doubt.

The tranny axle seals. My car has the sohc POS for now so no need for synthetic performance oil but i'm just wondering if 80W90 would be too thick or not. BTW, i'll take a video of the shifter assembly clunking, I think i'm missing some rubbers or something on the shifter.

I say try it and find out. Some people think heavy oil makes clunky shifts, but unless you're in cold weather I'd go with heavier oil than recommended. those gears need all teh cushioniung they can get.

I guess it's ok for now but when winter is around, i'll have to go to ATF as at -30C, this stuff will be too heavy.

So for the axle seals, anyone know the part numbers for AWD and 2WD G series trannies? My tranny is leaking badly.

just checked with mazda. For future reference, the axle seals from the AWD and 2WD are not the same. Don't have the part numbers though.
