    Hi all! (another gtx owner)

I just have my ride from few days ago (only 5) and since I'm new to the Mazda comunity I'm trying to learn as much as I can about this ride that allready has cought my heart.

I'll let you some pics, maybe you could find them interesting.

By now it is 100% stock, but I have some ideas that need to be worked.

Since I bought it really cheap, the main idea is to make a fast car as possible without brokeing my wallet.

I hope to take advance of a set of old OZ superleggeras that I previously owned from a Seat Ibiza Cupra that I'm not shure if they will fit (17"x7", 4x100, ET37).

Then if I dont have any cheaper options, I think I'll give a try to a k-sport coilovers as well a a big brake kit.

Then a bigger intercooler from any donnor (any cheap ideades?), a turboback exhaust, an pod filter and maybe some apexis (AVFR + safc II).

Last point would be some lightweight parts, as backets, an smaller battery placed in the trunk and any other similar mods...

I'll try to keep the post updated.

See you in the technicall forums!

Welcome to clubprotege, your first improovements to the car should be opening the exhuaust with a turbo back & a cone/pod filter rather then the stock airbox. a good clean to that engine bay would go well . personally i wouldn't bother with a AFC or sorts, the stock ECU will be able to support ~11-14psi depending on how much air you actually move through it

                      Thank you all!!

Turpro: Also happy to inaugurate a new section, makes mi feel special lol.

                      Thanks!

Suzuka323: we allways suffer from the same, in my Subaru times, we missed both the US cars (2.5 some years ago) as well as the special spec JDM 2.0... Allways missing what we dont have... lol

bpt323: If I finally choose a simpliest way of engine tuning even if I choose a manual boost controler, I think that the safest way to keep thinks working would be with a proper fuelling, and the cheapest option as far as I know is an SAFC II, isn't it? Of course, a deep clean is on the way. I also need to decide how far I want to go repairing the body, interior, underbody, and so...

you really don't need additional fueling. the stock ecu is fairly well off, any more then 14 psi is unsafe for the turbo anyhow. you can start with a MBC & be fine its just not as precise, thats all.

I'm looking for struts or coilovers and I have found that corksport sells them. Not too much info about them in their web. I have find that KYB also lists two more models for the BG8Z; 'Super Special for street' (wich has regulation in 4 points) and a 'Super Special Rally'.

Also find that Top Secret has a set of coliovers.

                              UPDATE:

Some time has passed since my introduction, and alltought the car has been stoped more than a month, finally I have start with the proyect.

First thing, a stock dyno run:

Then I begun reciveing some parts:

2x Bride VIOS III Low Max replica backets (wich are a little bit narrow for my father wich uses the 323 sometimes, so I'm considering to sell them for something bigger) and the K-Sport 'asphalt rally' spring rated coilovers.

                              and

                              Apexi Neo.

I also ordered K-Sport big brakes, but finally they have confirmed that they are not available for 16" or 17" rims. So I will continue searching, in other options or even swaps

Parts I hope to get in the near future; used apexi a-vcr, a set of 16" compomotive MO, 60 or 63mm cactback, some kind of CAI, and maybe a bigger FMIC and a cusco/mazdaspeed LSD.

                              Cheers
