awd rear end with a fc limitied slip and ring gears (miata and awd are 2 week)
was actually looking inot it and corksport has a few customers with rwd. if you want straight line then a solid rear end. lefts and rights or drift id say fd rear end is the narowest.Comment

someone on feoa took measurements, comes out the awd BG tranny doesn't fit without cutting the firewall. so if you're going to cut, might as well go all the way and do what jon said, miata with a 8.8 ford rear end.No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.Comment

no what i mean is the gtx/miata pinion shaft or gears are 2 small. when i called cs they said after 250hp straight to those diffs will cause problems.Comment

that is why they guy said use a straight axle, no CV's, or you could go with an independent out of an RX7 TII, 4.11 gears and posi stock! They are pretty stout, and its probably narrower than your escort/protege so you could get some semi wide rubber under there for traction. its perfect width for my car...
