    hey guys

    whats going on Im joe and Im just introducing myself. I just picked up a 95 escort gt for 500 bucks. Im buying for a daily driver...I already have a few project cars but just cuz its a daily doesnt mean Im not doing anything to it ;-) I plan on doing a kl-ze swap in the next month or 2 tops. iv already started getting all the stuff to compleate the swap. once I have it all me and 2 my buddies are just gonna bust out the swap in a weekend. on top of that doing some bolt ons to it. my goal is high 13's na. and if not and I only get low 14's out of it ehhhh I dont really care ill be happy with it I mean it will still be fun to drive regardless. anyway I like the factory wheels enough that I will prob just throw some good tires on them and call it a day. other than that a few odds and ends and some suspention stuff and ill pritty much be set. iv added some pics for you to see it...all and all its pritty clean for the price. and it sadly looks way better in person but I guess you'll just have to trust me on that one. on the only think it has done to it is its lowered but not enough im afraid =( so that will be fixed quickly hehe. anyway see you on the forum

      welcome to the forums. Congrats on the EGT. Good luck on the KL swap, post pics of your work too! Do a 5 lug swap while you're at it too
      No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

        Looks very nice for $500. I haven't seen EGTs with that color. Is it original paint? If so what is the paint code from the door sticker? I know the KL-ZE swap has been done in the Escort but a BP-T is much easier.

          hah, now that I'm at home I can see the pics. very nice looking. I think its at a good lowered position. Do the KLZE swap first, that's more important that ground (lack of) clearance.

            hey thanks guys. dont worry I will take plenty pics of the swap and the times at the track and try and keep you updated...as far as the 5 lug convertion what would it be off of (probe gt?) and what would be my advatages of switching? other than possably bigger roters/brakes and such things like that? as far as the color you are right mad max I really dont see to many this color. but im possative its stock ill try and get the color code for you tomoro if I can. ie if its not to messed up to read and im not tirered after work and things like that lol. and yea I relize the bp-t is easier but I really like the way the kl's sound...kinda like a raspy 350z with the right exaust lol. and other than that its a little diff...and really on top of that I already have a turbo 4 cylinder lol...thats the project im talking about! as for the ride hightalmightybmw ehhh lowering it even more is easy I just need to get up and do it really and its a gonna be a few months for the swap so might as well make it look better and slam the crap out of it for the time being...ill work on the handling later haha...till the swap its just a toy lol.

            ps this is weird but damn you guys seem really nice comparative to other forums I go to for other cars I have lol......good job. I think ill enjoy my stay hehe.

                That is clean in good condition, I try to keep mine in decent shape except some people out there are pretty ruthless with there doors. I suddenly have unexplained dents and dings.

                  hahah I know how you feel but yea I just got some really good pics of it and when I have time ill post them but as for you madmax I found the color I think...it is stock but ususaly colors read out to a few letters then numbers well all it says is ext paint color..."DSO" thats it...it kinda confused me but I hope that helps? but is that right?
