hello everyone my screen name is nativechad but feel free to call me chad. Recently i received a 1990 Mazda Protege SE stick shift from my small engines teacher and i thought id join the club. This is my first car and any tips would be appreciated, also im currently looking for a new clutch because i destroyed it with my bad shifting (and it wasn't in the best condition when i got it).

welcome Chad! Where in AK are you? I used to be in Fairbanks, but moved to a warmer climate (too hot!). I picked up my replacement clutch at ....carquest, $165. cheapest I could find.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.
