    New to clubprotege. I'm an Mx-3 guy!

    Hi Guys, I joined clubprotege because even though I drive an Mx-3, I bought a BP-05 from a '93 Protege, and over the next few weeks am going to swap it in. I will probably be making several posts, and I appreciate all the help I can get. First question, does anyone know if the BP01F ecu is the one I'm looking for? I have a '95 Mx-3 RS and a '93 BP-05.

    welcome to the club! i'll be the first to say you're gonna have a hell of a time swapping that into your mx-3 since its a 95 (dash wiring is different)

    your best bet would probably be to re-pin your B6 harness so you don't have to re-wire your dash. You can search it thru this site or mx-3.com as well. you just have to add 2 pins to your B6 harness, 1 for the VICS (butterfly valves in the intake manifold) and 1 for the extra distributor wire (unless yours is already a 4 wire).

    good luck, keep us posted, and best bet before asking any questions is to search first lol.

          No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

              BP01F is the ecu for a sohc b8 dont know the results you'll have on a BP with it
