it will, but only if you put your own bolt mounts on the frame. so, assuming you have the WHOLE rear subframe, struts, frame, diff, axles, etc etc, you could just find where you need the bolts to mount and do some drilling/cutting. and yes, there is a TON of other things you must do.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

thanks thats good news. so r the motor and tranz mounts special or anything or the same as the bp or sohc, i have not search doing a awd swap since i thought about doing it about 3 to 4 years ago( i guess i should search a little more and refreesh my mind on awd info), but at that time i was just getting into turboing cars, well now i have 2 boosted egts(escort gt's) and i just boosted a 88 mazda 323 BF 2wd sohc, yes the week 82 hp sohc for a winter beater.
my car i would do the AWD swap be BPed and boosted.
      thanks

can anyone give me any other info on this swap or diffrences between the 2wd and 4wd pro, i know many have talked about it,ect, ect and backed out.
here is a list of things i think i will need/need to do,
        tunnel for driveshaft,
fuel cell, or pro awd tank,
mount 4wd rear subframe fit in my 2wd.
        ???'SSS
        mounts for tranz?
is there any diffrence in the enginebay of a awd, fire wall, ect, ect?
        any help would be appreciated.
        thanks

can't use the 4wd tank, the rear seat frame is different. the firewall must be cut to make room for the trans rear transfer carrier. the LCA's are different. the trans frame member is different. the steering column/rack is different to clear the transfer carrier. springs are stiffer/longer because of the extra awd weight. it uses the LX brakes.

The list goes on. Not as simple as it sounds. Half the body panels welded in are not the same, including some of the rocker panels. The frame is wider in the front to help clear the tranny. yeah, I can't even think of all the differences, its a big list.
