a fiberglass repair kit? that what i used, though it didnt work extremely well, it kinda worked

make sure to get the stuff with the fiberglass cloth/mat, put a little resin on it and just stick it up on there, and as it dries try to shape it correctly, sand, etc...

If you need bigger sheets of fiberglass check those commercial marine shops they usually have them; plus various types.

Get a clean shell, cut most of the rear off and weld it on to yours after you've also removed your cancerous pieces. Chances are the problem is way deeper than you see with your eyes.

Good point. Thats why i get worried when i see body rust on cars. I can't imagine any deeper + the underbody!

space out your welds and let them cool so you dont warp the metal.. fyi.

i cut a large peice off the drivers side rear wheel well. i ended up using a pizza box lid to curve with the body and held it on with duct tape, layed about 1/3" of fiberglass. did the same thing for the arch of the well and finished it off with a little bondo. thing looks like it was never touched. use whatever is laying around, i would have prefered to weld some new metal in but i could not move the car and dont have access to a portable welder.

i would NEVER use fiberglass to repair metal. Do it the right way, grind the **** out of the bad areas, then weld some new metal in, grind it smooth, use some filler.
