Question Before i remove my molding.....

on my escort i removed my molding and there was nothing but White double sided tape holding them on which i removed....easily. But on my 93 LX protege i peeled it back a little, and noticed black glue. Is this easy to remove? THe tape was easy. But i dont want to remove my moldings and have that ugly black glue all on the side of my car..

#1 search , its been covered soooo many times

that black **** does come off, you can put of a solvent to disolve it off or you can use your thumb and rub it off

both LXs and DXs have that back glue, its pretty standard accross the board
No more protege, Mx-3 now...Only known BP powered Mx-3 in Nova Scotia

this was covered many times on the other board, but incase it hasn't, just throw some goo gone on there and gently lift the pieces with your finger nail.. thats the best method without unintentionally scratching the paint. aside from that i'd say keep a garden hose handy as and adhesives you remove with goo gone have to be removed QUICKLY or else you'll get it sticking to your doors.. definately not something fun
