    Escort GT at Thunderhill

I just got home from crewing for my buddy's EGT (turbo) at the first half of the 25 Hours of Thunderhill. Here are a few pics. (p.s., I also crewed for the Porvette, 944 w/ a Corvette drivetrain and rear suspension. He ran the whole 25 Hours...)

25 hours?? wow, that's hardcore. looks like it was a sweet time!
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

I got hte brakes bleed, changed rear pads, and we did the radiator and cleaned up the wires a smigen when i was at the shop the friday before. The porvette looks better in person!!!

Jim called me teusday to tell em how he did well. and that i might eb going in soon to help with the tranny! lol

The photos shoot went well, the weather was great at sun-up on Saturday. We left the hotel at 6:30am, got to the track just before 7:00 as the sun was rising over the hills. Yeah, the Porvette is impressive in person, from a distance, nothing too special, I think it's the lack of a high dollar paint job. the colors just look a bit to flat.
As for the crew, a bunch of great guys who kow there stuff. The only big project I had during the race was changing out the transfer pump on the EGT. Otherwise, it was mostly gas and tire changes.
The time spent awake killed me, I got two hours of sleep that weekend, too old for that crap... LOL I'll let you know the next time I'm out working on one of the EGTs. Jim's buggin me almost every other day about getting my new set-up to the dyno to see what it's making.
