Yesssss....we are catching on. It's a very hard swap so I doubt it too.

I hate the short nose crankshaft. It took my car away from me.

*drooling* that would be awesome.. would it have to go in the rear though?

It would definately have to be rear wheel drive. This car would have so much custom work, that I do not even have an idea of how much money and time one would need to do this.

Hey, I have an idea. We should contact Jesse James, and ask him to make a Monster Protege. Twin-turbo rotary, RWD, it would be sweet. It would cost them more then $3000 even with freebies, but they got away with that before. I remember the fastest street painter Indy Car episode. They put in $17K in cash, not including freebies, and the $500K pricetag for the car itself.

                  Jesse should definately do this.

its not that difficult honestly. the rotary engine will bolt right up to a 1.8L trans. you need to run an aftermarket pcm, and make a custom header, and the rest is just hooking up the throttle cable and installing the oil cooler and other little things.
you guys overestimate the complexity of a rotary swap.

i have seen a 13b in a protege before. theres a website about it somwhere. hes got pics and text of the swap to prove it. it sounded simple to me.
i cant find the site using google.
