bp in aspire no spark

    bp in aspire no spark

    i have a 94 aspire that i just put a bp in.its out of a 93 protege.im using the aspire charging and starting system.the rest is the protege stuff.im geeting no spark out of the coil or the distributer.ive tried changing the disrtibuter and the ecu and still nothing.help greatly appreciated

    check to see if you are getting power to the coil and dist, check fuses and trace wiring, thats all i can say. post up some pics, would like to see what it looks like. the car that is

      did you ran that 4th cable on the distributor plug to the pcm

        im using the protege engine harness therefore i didnt have to the the 4th wire.does anyone know the colors of the power wire on the distributer and coil.

          power wire to the coil is the thick blue one, its on its own seperate plug under the dash.

            ok the coil has power and the distributer has power goin to it.could it be a ground problem.

              she runs. i ran a few extra grounds and the power wire on the distributer had a slice on it rewired it and it fired right up.will post some pics when i get a chance.

                    now for some reason when i put my intake on or even plug the vaf in it shuts off even if the intake isnt attached to the car

                      ok got the intake settled.now it will idle for about a minute than die unless i feather the gas.

                        alright im throwing code 3 which is no cylinder id sensor signal.what do i do to fix this thanks

                          means your distributor isn't any good. There's an internal failure.

                          Also the idling problem could be from a vacumm leak and a bad VAF.
