I think that's what happens when you run that much power through a stock motor not designed to handle it.
nearing 300whp isn't that much power in a stock bp-de for ur info the record is 451whp on a BP-DE set by RIC@racingmazda a few years back..
i ran the damn setup for about a year..
i was pissed off that day and thats what i get..
don't start with me please with that (stock motor not designed to handle it) u said it urself u think u don't know as a fact. i don't want to get into another war with u again nothing but a bunch of nonsense BS between what im doing and what u think is right..
im half way with building my built BP takes money and time which im doing on my spare time. and when im done im not going to put it in until i find out just how far a stock BP-de can really go..
I don't expect it to last long i just want to know if it can get up there in HP.. and if it does it does if it doesn't it doesn't.. ur not the one wasteing ur time or money i am why can't u see that.. someone here told me im to far away form getting into the 11's that a stock BP can't do it. im dead set in proving that person wrong..
i built the fastest MX-3 in my town because i lost to a guy in a civic that told me a mazda will never be fast let alone a MAZDA MX-3. i prove that guy wrong and broke his pride just like he broke mine....
im just not afraid to do what most mazda guys dream of or can't afford to do it. im tired of hearing a mazda can't can't can't. some people thing im all about me me me (u know who u are fu@ker) whats the point of proving what i want to do at least im trying to do it and am doing it vs talk about doing it..
bye
not trying to piss off anybody whats wrong with supporting another mazda owner
haha i was about to ask the same question... you can improvise using a turbo feed nipple right off the block there. that'll give you the restrictor too hints for the future & whatnot
Limegreen, I don't know why you get so personal with things like this but in all honesty, I am sure the car didn't know you were angry when it broke.
I am not saying some guy didn't run 450whp on a stock bp, and I am not saying you won't.
I am just discussing the failure of the motor. Given it had a good tune and was in good shape, mechanical parts will fatigue at a much higher rate when there is more stress applied to them. You can see that in your case and in many others. You can see that in engines, gearboxes etc. You know what you're doing when you drive your car but can you imagine how many failures there will be if stock BPs were sold with 300whp to the average Joe?
I have nothing against you, so stop taking **** personally, I really do hope you get your MX3 in the 11s.

im just tired of hearing usr and other negative 2 cents thats all i understand all ur points i just don't need to hear them again and again..
it failed because i harshly abused it that night more than i did in the year i was driving it... and it was very supid of me driving that way which i haven't since..
