It's hard to get alot of extra power from these motors without boosting,
Getting an intake, like this one:

and getting a header and exhaust, might gain you 10 or 15hp.

you can always take your airbox out, and cut the bottom out to expose your stock air filter. i did that when i had my first EGT back in the day. It helped with throttle responce and helped it breathe a bit better at higher RPMs.

      It's a free mod if you have a sawz-all.

you could hide a skinny pete (is that what they are called?) in your engine. its basically a small bottle of nitrous hidden in, say your glove box. the lines are underneath your intake mani keeping them hidden. dont worry, i wont tell anyone

I have seen people doing the air filter swap (no Box). Some smaller things like removing the line from the valve cover to the intake and putting a mini filter on the valve cover port.Cooler air into the intake. Makes a definite difference.

Or you can buy some cheap piping and some connectors and get the air filter out of that hot engine bay. It'll work much better a be much cheaper than that weapon-r.

Are you talking about PCV port? I really don't think there are any gains with that method since this area is meant to be recirculated out into the intake manifold.

Take your stock airbox off and buy the cone filter and adapter to the afm from ebay. When its all bolted together it will put the filter right in the headlight opening and since you dont have a headlight it will be fed cool air as you go around the track.

Is it possible to make an intake feed in the fog light hole? I know everything is possible, but how efficient is that? Just came to my mind why bother where to feed the intake if you don't have fog lights installed, for example.

Here is the link for the filter and adapter. Its a nice bolt on part. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/AIR-F...spagenameZWDVW
I know you can pickup both of those parts at autozone but be prepared to pay 24.99 for just the filter and around 12.99 for the adapter. I also put a screen type material over the headlight hole to cut down on the mud getting to the filter. When does your season start this year? Ours starts middle of april.
