    "Protege 323" decal

This is just a curiosity thing.

The decal on the driver side of the trunk on my 91 LX says "Protege 323." I have seen other 1st gens whose decals say only "Protege." Does anyone know the history behind the naming of the Protege models?

90-91 had the "mazda 323" under the protege on a metal decal. 92 up had the plastic "protege"
When you turn your car on... does it return the favor?

    A Protege driver named Brock

There's a photochop of a 2 door protege. Nothing real.
