GTX swap: that pesky 4 wire tps

I got a throttle body from Jho but unfortunately no plug came with it to wire up the TPS. So, while cruising the junkyard today I came across a SOHC automatic. Sure enough it had a 4 wire TPS. I snipped the connector and peeled back the wire loom and even better, it is the same colors as the DOHC counterpart.

    To sum things up:
4 wire TPS pigtails can be gotten from a SOHC automatic car.

I have also seen that the TPS on the SOHC auto is the same as the DOHC auto.

    Thanks for bringing this up.

old thread, but the sohc probably has a smaller ID throttle body vs the DOHC.

i used a Sohc B6 throttle body and TPS at first just to get the setup done, then later on when I found a BP ATX one and compared, its a big difference but it will work::

My GTX setup had very little issues other than stupid lil leaks on the 1st start, but otherwise I had everything covered lol took good pix of all of it too
