    bp05 turbo?

i have a bp05 with 3 angle valve, port and polish... i want know if i can put a turbo on it because my ''seller'' say ''you can only put nos on it'' and i want to buy a bp-t what is the best?? the GTX whit my bp05 head or my escort GT whit the GTX head or what?! tanks you guys... sorry i speak french...

your "seller" makes us all laugh. a lot. in fact, so much, we won't say anything about the fact mazda has had turbos longer than their life. but I digress.

No worries on the french, we're international. BPT is the way to go. You can either buy the whole packaged motor, or buy the parts and piece it together. Your head will actually flow better, so don't worry about swapping heads. Your intake manifold is good too, will work fine.

Take a while (I see you registered in Dec) and start reading other people's builds, you'll see there are many options for turboing.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

Ok, just to make sure I've understood everything fine:

So, I can simply install a Turbo without having to change any other pieces on my ACTUAL engine, and my head will be able to handle the turbo even if it's a port & polished head with 3 angle valve.

^^ If I'm ok, considering my head, should I put a GTX ecu with a piggyback or only the GTX ecu will give me the "best performance" ?

      tanks a lot :D

yeap, pick up a GTX ecu, GTX exhaust manifold, turbo, intercooler piping, GTX fuel injectors, GTX vaf (air flow meter), and have someone make an exhaust.
        ECU: $150
        Turbo+manifold:$250-300
        Injectors: $40-60
        AFM: $30-50
        custom exhaust:$200-350
        Intercooler+piping: $75-200

so you're looking at $750-1000 to pick the parts up. That's the average prices I've seen, but I'll bet you could do it for less if you were patient and waited for good deals.

There are quite a few posts about hooking it all up, and using your stock wiring harness. Hope that helps get you started.

I really wish ppl would search the threads first before posting threads about the same stuff over and over.

Anyways go into the forced induction section. There's a thread called "how to boost your bp". It tells you what all you need to boost the motor that you have now. Good luck.

Sorry for ranting but its a subject that has been talked about so many times.
