Ever since I saw a V6 323 on a canadian website I knew I not only wanted one, but I was going to have one. I've been modifying KL-powered vehicles for more than a decade now, and my two prized KL toys are a 10-second FWD Probe and a KLZE-powered RWD Probe that is currently in progress. The KL's broad rev range, superb redline tones and relative longevity have always had my heart. So Iet aside a spare KLZE for a day that a 323 would cross my path. As the stars aligned, not only did i find a decent 323, but in the same week I found a donor MX3 that supplied most of the parts for the swap. It seemed destiny, if nothing else.

The swap was fairly straight forward, but not without a learning curve as well. Some things needed a little massaging, some things needed a bit of fabrication.

All in all, I'm very happy with the car. I wish the US version had the JDM bumpers, but then again, Corksport is only one state over. Always loved the sleeper look of the 323, and I found it a superb alternative to a Honda hatchback.

I've decided that my car is a girl, she's picky as hell, won't listen to me, always wants to fight me, and when i give her presents it's never good enough and she always wants more.

aw congrats on the ROTM win! That is one very amazing car, your experience has proven itself well.
No car! I soldz it. Now I have a truck. I like it, but apparently it has a hard time keeping up with a slightly modified 4WD protege with half the hp. Neat.

Thanks guys! This car is very much fun to drive and exactly like I was picturing the experience to be since I first thought about it. I doubt it will be my last one as I'll probably build a new one sometime in '09 with complete looks to match the performance.

Most of the info I needed for the swap was found here on CP, so thumbs up to the board as well!

Um, he probably "custom-made" it. That's why it's a "custom" intake.....?

                  Joke.
