    Headgasket question

So, I think my headgasket is popped. I have massive amounts of coolanty/oily smoke during engine braking between 3500 and 3000 and occasionally. I think that I am loosing coolant but no noticable oil consumption. When idling and free revving the engine coolant comes out of the exhaust (test pipe). What I can't figure out is that the problem started when I changed turbos, I never overheated it or ran crazy boost. There is no coolant in the oil but there is something that might be oil in the top of the radiator. Anyone have advice about possible causes.

If the headgasket is popped, does anyone know if I can use a 1.6 Miata headgasket? What are other applications I can take ARP headstuds from?

if it started when u changed turbos then the new tubo is probly the problem. the seals may be leaking on the inside somehow. i had one the had no shaft play but was leaking oil badly making the car all smokey

Yeah, turbo would be my thought but I don't use oil, I use coolant. I bypassed the coolant lines on the turbo yesterday and that changed exactly nothing.

ya its prob the headgasket if its not actually leaking from anywhere. im 99% sure that any 1.6dohc miata headgasket will work on the B6T motor and just get the headstuds for the same miata engine

I'm not sure if it is actually the headgasket any more. The turbo doesn't pump oil out the compressor side, I'm going to check the exhaust side on saturday. None of the spark plugs show any evidence of burning coolant or oil. I'm going to buy a tester that checks for gas/oil in the coolant and a compression tester on monday.
