I'm pretty sure the bg ones are close if not the same. 2nd gen rx7 might be close too.

I think the cheapest way is to try to lube the ones you got and see if that doesn't help. I used Tri-Flow on one of mine and it made a huge difference. Can't wait to bust ope the other door panel and spray down the other one. Oh, wait, I have four of them. Damn.... LOL

Make sure you spray down the cable as best as you can to minimize drag from those parts, too. Protect from overspray while you do this with an old towel or something.

Anyway, it might save you a ton of money and time (not having to pull them) if yours are still salvage-able. Just my $0.02 man.

Tri flow is amazing... use it pretty much every day at work.

Agree. It's a little spendy but worth it. I like the aerosol can format the best. Worth it's weight in gold. Also, the spray can of Marine Winterizing Lubricant is good, too. I think it's from Pennzoil. Either one should work pretty well, if the motors can be salvaged. Don't use WD-40. It's a good product to loosen things up but it evaporates and doesnt' stick around. It's in a different category of product than Tri-Flow and Marine spray.

Use the thin, red tubing on the tip of the spray nozzle to get as much lube down the cable housing as possible. And, whatever you do, don't lose that red tube. I hate that when it happens!! LOL

I may be late to the ball game on this thread but I had the same problem with my power mirrors. I just Giga-loo'd (silcone spray) the tracks above the door and greesed up the metal track in the door and worked them up and down and now they work fine.

Have you considered taking them to a local auto electric shop and having them rebuilt....?

That sounds spendy...... I say try to shooting them with Tri-Flow first. what would it hurt?

                    Good luck.

The easies thing you can do is take the motor apart. You can un screw the commutater housing and pull it and the housing out of the system. I did this to all of mine, cleaned the commutaters, and the housings (magnets) and lubed them up. They work like new now.

And Larry, this is a bit old...

I have heard 929's have the same stupid power window motor and bead/gear assembly as the BF.
