    struts other than kyb gr2's

Sorry guys i have been out of the picture for a while now, i still have my dx and have done little to it since i last posted almost a year ago. Does anyone know of anywhere to get some better struts than the gr2 for our 2nd gen protege's?
Thanks for the help guys and gals.

Hey man I just logged in after not having driven my protege for a year.

Both wheel bearings were shot so it was just sidelined.

But I fixed it up and im doing the same thing youre thinking of replacing the struts.

I just noticed when I replaced the wheel bearings how easy it would be to replace the struts, without a spring compressor even although I recomend using one as it would be easier.

Anyhow to get to your point, mazdaspeed has kyb agx and the mazda dealer has the oem shocks which are made by tokico which is a great brand but the oem ones are worse than gr2s in my opinion.

Whats wrong with the KYB GR-2's? I have them with intrax springs. The springs are pretty low and stiff and they still don't leak, even with my heavy ass system in the back. A friend has GR-2's in his honda and it has a overall decent ride for a stock replacement strut
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.

Oh and by the way that shot in your banner with Vin Diesel's car getting shot, thats a civic not an altezza.

there's no agx application for the bha, gr-2's are fine, the green mazdaspeeds can be found but used, koni inserts are the best option but thats a custom job.

ok i stand corrected if the mazdaspeed ones are not made by kyb.

            It has been a while.

The mazdaspeed ones must be made by tokicco then.

I do repeat that mazda dealers sell the oem struts and they are made by tokkico.

They are worse than gr-2s though in my opinion they are the wimpiest looking shocks I have ever seen and I own a geo metro.

I do think they are 150$ apeice as well.

And I do repeat that as far as strut replacement jobs go this is the easiest I have ever seen.
