    Blown tranny Round #2

    Track day left my car with a blown tranny yet again. i'll be pulling the motor/trans combo tommorow & further investigating the damage (pics to come)

    I fear i may have lost my LSD. There are zero holes in the casing so its all internal damage
    virtually zero gears. 3rd/5th feel like they should be placement wise. but i think im just moving around metal chunks.

    Pray that my MSP LSD is still in good shape

    ^^^^ you can watch the tranny give out & hear the tires lock up for a split second if you watch it carefully enough

          that sucks you must be pissed i know i would i hate doing transmissions but have never really fully blown one to where i couldn't drive it in some gear

            crappy. i got your text message today, but was busy dealing with my own major issues today and forgot to call you. did you have that LSD welded up before putting it in?

                Same here. Sorry to hear. Hope it's fixed soon. Just a question and don't think I'm an ass for saying it but why use auto tranni fluid? Maybe it's just not good enough for our trannis.

                        remember, he has an lsd so he has to use certain fuild that has special properties for the discs of the lsd.

                            not by any means does the LSD require the ATF which ryan insists on using. he could/should have used some 75w90 gear oil.

                              I wouldn't use ATF on a MTX. Thats just stupid in the first place. What part of automatic transmission fluid says to put it in a manual tranny. Hope the LSD is ok but I wouldn't expect much.
