    modified front brakes

This project started out when I started track driving the car. I need a different brake setup, so I have created this from off the shelf parts.

Looks great, let us know what the off-the shelf parts are. Is it a front kit only?

While I was in the process of making this, I found another member here had done a similar project. Mine uses the same Willwood dynalite calipers, but a more expensive racing brake rotor and hat combo. BTW that is the name of the company who makes the rotors - "racing brake".

This is not a Corksport kit or any kit that is readily available. I had to make it from scratch. The EC and BG knuckles are the same so mounting the caliper was the biggest challenge. I had to outsource the knuckles to be machined and cut to fit the Willwoods.

For now, I've only made a front brake upgrade. The rears will still be stock but plan on changing the rear pad compound.

He gave me the insperation to finish the project. I didn't mount the calipers the same as he did however.

How much did it all run you? How is the braking?

How's the brake bias with those big calipers up front?
I live my life a quarter pounder at a time. And for those 500 calories or more, I'm free. I need FRIES! Two of them. The big ones. Oh, and I need them tonight. You're lucky the double shot of BBQ sauce didn't blow the seam on your nugget box. There she is, 2 pounds of pure beef. My dad ate it in 9.0 seconds flat. Check it out, it's like this. If I lose, winner takes my happy meal. But if I win, I take the burger and the toy. To some people, that's more important.
